Top up the credit balance and issue chipcards
For your identification and payment system there is a terminal available to suit every application. In order to top up the credit balance the users must simply identify themselves at the terminal with their chipcard. They can top up the credit balance either with cash using coins or banknotes, or with their girocard or credit card.
Not only can the credit balance be topped up at the terminal; depending on the version in use, the amount can also be paid out in coins or banknotes.
Optionally, it is also possible to use the terminal to return non-personalised chipcards.

All terminals can be adapted with features to suit the functions you need and your requirements. Updates or additional functions can easily be integrated via the web-based interface.
The load.UP terminal informs the administrator via e-mail about its operating state, for example it shows if there is a fault and the current level of coins and banknotes.

Issue guest cards
The optional extension module permits the issuing of new chipcards. These chipcards are issued without a credit balance. The operator can charge a deposit on the card.
As the next step, the guest can charge the chipcard with coins or banknotes or from their bank account. Any remaining credit amount is paid out via the coin dispenser.

With the smart.UP top-up terminal, chipcard users can easily load money onto their card: insert chipcard, deposit amount, done.
Both cash payments with coins or bills and upgrading via girocard are possible.
With the new user interface on the large 12 “touch monitor, the terminal can be operated easily and intuitively.
The smart.UP top-up terminal is solidly processed and is therefore ideally suited for heavy use in public areas.

Pay library fees
With the library function, your visitors can easily pay library fees at the top-up terminal. The payment system is directly connected to the lending system, so that books can be borrowed again immediately after paying the fees.
A list of all borrowed books, the loan period and the associated fees can be viewed on the large 12 “touch monitor.
Due to the solid workmanship, it is also suitable for heavy use in public libraries.

smart.UP with shop function
Shop, buy tickets and vouchers
With the shop function, your top-up terminal can also cover all payment transactions based on tickets or vouchers: For example, the sale of products such as USB sticks, interlibrary loan checks or even admission tickets. Payment is made with the value on the chipcard or with cash or the girocard.
Using the large 12 “touch panel monitor with intuitive user guidance, your users can select an item, pay for it and have a receipt printed out for it. This receipt can be used to collect the goods, verify payment or enter an event.

- The item description, the available quantity, the price and the selected number of items are shown on the display
- If not all articles can be displayed on one page, the user has the option of moving between several pages
smart.EXPERT
Issue and take back new chipcards additionally
smart.EXPERT is based on the smart.UP top-up terminal and extends the range of functions to include the issue and return of new chipcards. All functions of the smart.UP are also available with the smart.EXPERT.
Up to 250 neutral and non-personalized chipcards are held in the device for issuing new chipcards. This makes the machine ideal for issuing guest cards.
The new chipcards are issued when they are charged. The guest can determine the top-up amount himself. The operator can optionally collect a deposit on the chipcard.

vario.UP
All top-up options, guest card functions, fee and shop functions in one terminal
The vario.UP terminal leaves nothing to be desired with regard to its large housing. Functions such as topping up the credit balance, paying out cash, paying for products or charges or issuing and returning guest cards are all combined within a single automatic unit.
Thus the chipcard credit balance can be topped up with coins or banknotes, with a credit card at the same automatic unit.
Similarly, the vario.UP can also issue or take back guest cards and pay out the credit balance on the card in banknotes and coins. Open library fees can be paid with the chip card or viewed with the barcode card.
With the shop function, products can be purchased and receipts issued via the receipt printer.

Easily check your credit balance
The current balance on the credit account can be checked very easily with the smart.CHECK chipcard reader. Hold the chipcard on the reader and the credit is shown immediately on the display.
In addition to MIFARE® Classic chipcards, smart.CHECK can also read DESFire chipcards. The smart.CHECK can be placed on the counter or mounted on the wall.
